Snow removal for Northbrook driveways, walks, and steps

Cian clears driveways, walks, and steps by shovel after the snow falls. You can book a single storm or sign up for the season, and a parent arranges everything with you ahead of time.

Northbrook, IL and nearby neighborhoods, subject to confirmation. Every request is arranged and confirmed by a parent.

Why it helps

What you get out of it

  • Shoveling is hard, slow work. Having a neighbor handle it means a clear path to the door and the car.
  • Season-long sign-ups are set up once, so you are not rearranging help each storm.
  • Per-storm requests are an option if you only need help now and then.
The work

What is included

  • Driveways, walkways, steps, and paths cleared
  • Service after snowfall, once conditions are safe to work
  • Salt or ice-melt spread to prevent refreezing
  • Priority for season-long sign-ups on snowy mornings

Equipment

  • Cian brings his own shovel.
  • You provide the salt or ice-melt, or ask and a parent will talk it through with you.

Good to know

  • Clearing depends on availability, weather, and safety. Cian does not promise a specific time after a storm, and he cannot clear while it is unsafe, such as in whiteout or icy conditions.
  • Cian is a teenager with a shovel. Very deep or heavy snow, or large areas, may take longer or need a different plan, and a parent will tell you what is realistic.
  • A parent arranges and confirms every request before it is booked.
  • Season-long sign-ups get first priority on snowy mornings, but timing still depends on conditions.

How it works

Four steps, with a parent in the loop

  1. Send a short request

Pick the quest on the homepage form and share your name, a preferred date, and a few details about the areas to clear, such as driveway, walk, and steps. Please do not include your exact street address at this stage.

  2. A parent follows up

The form opens an email to Cian's parent. Nothing is sent until you press Send in your email app, and a parent arranges every request.

  3. Details get confirmed

Your neighborhood, timing, and pricing are worked out with a parent. Address details are shared once the request is confirmed.

  4. Cian does the work

He arrives with his own gear and gets to it, weather and safety permitting.
