Lawn care in Northbrook, done by a neighbor who brings his own gear

Lawn care is Cian's main quest. He is a 15-year-old Northbrook local who mows, edges, trims, and blows off your drive and walks, with a parent arranging each request so you always have a grown-up to talk to.

Northbrook, IL and nearby neighborhoods, subject to confirmation. Every request is arranged and confirmed by a parent.

Why it helps

What you get out of it

  • A cut lawn, tidy edges, and clean walks make a home look cared for, and it is one less weekend chore for you.
  • You get one person who shows up with his own mower, trimmer, and blower, so there is nothing to lend or set out.
  • Book a single cut before an event or a trip, or set up a regular weekly or bi-weekly schedule.
The work

What is included

  • Mowing with clean, even stripes
  • Edging and string-trimming around beds, walks, and fences
  • Blowing clippings off drives, walks, and patios
  • Bagging or mulching clippings, your call
  • Weeding, raking, and general yard cleanup

Equipment

  • Cian supplies the mower, trimmer, and blower.
  • You do not need to provide tools. If you have a preference, such as bagging instead of mulching, say so in the request.

Good to know

  • Every request is arranged and confirmed by a parent before it is booked.
  • Scheduling depends on availability, weather, and safety. Wet, stormy, or unsafe conditions can mean a different day.
  • Cian is one teenager, so he books only as many yards as he can do well. Some dates and neighborhoods may not be possible.
  • This page covers mowing and general yard upkeep. Seasonal renovation and leaf work are on the fall page; snow is its own service.
Ways to book

Options

One-time cut

A single visit, good for a first try, a special occasion, or catching up an overgrown yard.

Weekly or bi-weekly

A regular schedule through the season. A parent confirms the rhythm with you, and timing can shift with weather.

Pricing and timing are arranged with a parent after you send a request. No prices are listed on this site.

How it works

Four steps, with a parent in the loop

  1. Send a short request

Pick the quest on the homepage form and share your name, a preferred date, and a few details about your lawn size and how often you would like service. Please do not include your exact street address at this stage.

  2. A parent follows up

The form opens an email to Cian's parent. Nothing is sent until you press Send in your email app, and a parent arranges every request.

  3. Details get confirmed

Your neighborhood, timing, and pricing are worked out with a parent. Address details are shared once the request is confirmed.

  4. Cian does the work

He arrives with his own gear and gets to it, weather and safety permitting.
